So running a print on my Railcore and has been fine for 2 hours.
It is now paused and displayed this error.

09/09/2019, 08:11:57: : Error: Heating fault on heater 1, temperature excursion exceeded 15.0°C
      Resume state saved

Have no idea what has caused this so any advice would be appreciated.

      E3D V6 hotend.
      Config as below

      0_1568019011608_config(5).g

      Regards,
      Paul

Also, I cleared the fault, clicked resume and it did not bother to wait for the hotend to heat up, instead started printing or trying to.

        Is this correct?

09/09/2019, 09:51:48: : Warning: Tool 0 was not driven because its heater temperatures were not high enough or it has a heater fault
        09/09/2019, 09:51:52: : Printing paused at X241.1 Y120.3 Z1.6
09/09/2019, 09:53:42: : Error: Heating fault on heater 1, temperature rising much more slowly than the expected 1.0°C/sec

So, I allowed to heat up again, it printed 3 lines, then errored again.

Not sure what to do or what the problem is. 😞

@paulhew can you repeat the heater fault not during a print:

          • Moving the gantry/testing the limits of the wire movement
          • Fan settings that may be overly cooling the hotend instead of the print.

            Thanks Tony.
Issue was, I forgot to put my silicone sock back on to the heater block Doh! 🤦

First big print and getting used to the new printer and using Prusa Slicer instead of Cura

The duct and fan for part cooling is tooo good!
Never had these problems on my Ender3 !!! LOL

            Thank you and sorry.

There shouldn't be any problem using Cura with Duet, if you prefer it. I tend to use Cura for convenience/ease of use/generally good quality gcode. Are you having particular problems?
