Send G-Codes to the Duet (as in PrusaSlicer)
-
Hi all,
I gues the title of the thread says it all, but anyhow a little explanation:
I have 2 Duet WiFi 2 boards on my shop. One is on my Tevo Tornado (awesome machine, btw). My slicer of choice is PrusaSlicer and from there I can send G-Codes directly to the Duet given the correct IP address and so on. It an awesome thing since I don‘t have to load the Duet Web server, go to G-Codes and so on... very underrated feature, IMHO
Then I have my other Duet on a Workbee CNC machine. It works great and I couldn‘t be happier. I prepare the file for this machine with Fusion 360 and I am missing very much the ability to send the G-Codes to the Duet directly, without the web interface.
Is there any way to do just that? Any trick I missed?
Any info would be appreciated!

Just to be clear, you mean "send a file of G-Code" to the printer, correct?
Fusion 360 supports plug ins. It should be possible to make a plug in that does what you want.
Or... A tiny bit of Robotic-Process-Automation. There's a ton of tools out there...

Well, not to the printer, to the CNC machine...

@FelixH Here is something: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Can-Fusion-360-send-G-code-directly-to-a-CNC-machine.html It is from 2017, but the mentioned UGS tool on http://winder.github.io/ugs_website/download/ has a current version.
There is an additional addin: https://github.com/tapnair/UGS_Fusion
Here some more options: https://sienci.com/mill-one-resources/g-code-senders/With so many possibilities, I guess I'll start with Fusion 360 now
(OT: https://tapnair.github.io/ has a lot of useful tools for Fusion 360) -
Wow, thanks a lot. I didn‘t even know where to start the search... I‘ll study that and see if I can come up with something
