    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to get the bltouch working with the Duex 5 (installed triple Z) on RRF3 but I'm having problems.
(I had it working in the past without the Duex 5: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/14485/rrf3-bltouch-setup?_=1582892234248)

On the Duex 5 I want to use heater 7 So I connected the red brown and yellow cables from the bltouch to PWM5 on the Duex.

The white and black wires are going to ZProbe "GND" and "Z Probe in" on the Duet 2 Wifi

When I turn on the power the Bltouch does a test (down up down) and turns red.
It's not going down when I do a Home Z and the Z goes up.
    (I have to emergency stop)

The 5V jumper on the Duex 5 is on the 2 left pins.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong

    Here's my Config.g

@Kaj said in problem DUEX 5 Bltouch RRF3:

      M950 S5 C"exp.heater7"

I believe your deploy and retract commands must target your gpio pin you've defined in M950 and not the physical pin like it used to be in RRF2. So instead of P7, it would be... P5?

I believe that P5 on the M280 will fix it...

At the same time, I am curious why you did not define the pin as S0? Just to keep things simple?

          M950 S5 C"exp.heater7"
          M950 S0 C"exp.heater7"

It is your "zero-th" servo, so it won't collide with anything.

@Danal Because I don't fully understand what I'm doing yet. I assumed that the servo pin was linked to a physical pin on the board.

@Phaedrux I tried P5 but same results, not coming down. Also tried to redefine S0 and the P0 in the retract and deploy but also no luck.

I'm still setting it as exp.heater7, I'll try setting it as !duex.pwm5 since I'm using a duex now. I'll report my findings later.

I managed to get it working.

                  M950 S0 C"duex.pwm5" ; create servo pin 0 for BLTouch on exp.heater7 --> duex.pwm5

                  Deployprobe.g

                  M280 P0 S10 ; duex deploy BLTouch

                  Retractprobe.g

                  M280 P0 S90 ; retract BLTouch

I'm glad you got it working. I believe your settings are essentially as described at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connecting_a_Z_probe#Section_Software_setup_RepRapFirmware_Num_3. Did you find that page unclear, or did you not find it?

@dc42 Thanks! I did find the page and it did help me out.
I'm still learning how this all works. After some trial and error using multiple sources (including the page you linked) I ended up figuring it out.

An example for a duex board additionally to the wifi exp. example on that page would probably have helped clear things up with the duex.pwm pin naming for me.
