Call for Configurations

One of the things that will help new users is to have example configurations in the reprapfirmware configurator to use as start points.

I would really appreciate it if anyone who has adapted an existing printer design to use the Duet (as opposed to built there own custom design from scratch) could put their settings into the configurator and then send me the .json template of the output, along with the type of printer. (send to info@duet3d.com). I will then ask Christian to get these templates added to the choices.

If you have made significant other changes to the design then please let me know what they are so I can make the template more "standard".

There's two configurations here for the Wanhao Duplicator i3:

config.json is the one I'm currently running, using the Distech Prometheus system, and the IR Z-Probe, so probably not relevant.

I'd submit mine, but there's not much stock left in the NoStock Max, I don't think it would be helpful to anyone at this point.

Same for me, "the only thing left is the frame" http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2079048, all the motors are changed, the controller (obviously) the hot ends, the extruders, power supply but happy to share if you want?

pcsentinel - I don't think totally customised is what I am looking for, however you might want to include the json file with the thingiverse listing so that someone who builds your machine has an easy job with the config.

Just a thought on the web configuration interface, when it comes to selecting extruder parameters, how about also having an additional drop down box, so you can select from the most popular extruders, and have the settings auto populated?

Thats a good idea. I know the parameters for a Titan but not for other ones so would need some help with getting those. This logic applies to other areas, like the thermistor parameters. I will see what Christian thinks as he will be making the modifications to the configurator.
