Duet 3 sensorless homing inconsistancy
-
Every time I home x it increases x 10mm and on the third time I try to home x it actually homes properly and then increases the 10mm instead of just increasing the 10mm. This is running 3.1.1. I have attached the pertinent configuration files. config (8).g homex (2).g homey (2).g homez (2).g

Sorry, but I'm having a hard time parsing that sentence. what increases 10mm? Where? and then it increases 10mm instead of just increasing 10mm? I don't think this makes any sense.
Can you make a video?

@Phaedrux I pressed home x. X then moves 10 mm in the wrong direction. I then press it again it then moves 10 mm in the wrong direction again. On the third time it finally homes properly.

Two things to try.
First, execute the homex line by line in the gcode console and see if it behaves the same and at what point it goes in the wrong direction.Second, try again but this time don't lower the motor current as much. Try M913 X70 instead of X50.
Also, are you sure you want G92 X0 at the end of your homing files?

@Phaedrux M400 wasn't working so I added a wait and that fixed it. Simple timing issue. I use the G92 so I can set exactly where I want home to be by modifying the distance x or y moves prior.

might be simpler to maintain and use if you use M208 to set min max, then use G10 to set a workplace coordinate offset
