So I checked my wiring, plugged it in, and I get this. No response from the board, and just these 2 LEDs lit up. IMG_20200628_140255.jpg Can anyone help with this?

You have no 3.3v LED illuminated, which indicates something is shorting your 3.3v power to ground, or it is otherwise failed.

I'd disconnect all but USB, and see what LEDs illuminated. When you first got the board and went through Part 1 of the Getting Started guide (before attaching any connectors besides USB), did you have any trouble communicating with the board?

Yes, I did and everything was ok. I followed the instructions and wiring explicitly.

Pull the sd-card and the endstops see if it helps?

Does anything get hot after having done so?

the hole or crater on the chip suggest it let the magic smoke out. (that is the chip that makes the 3.3v)

closer look may suggest fan0 have had some surplus excitement as well?

It was wired directly to the diagrams. I don't understand. I triple checked everything before I put it on the board.

hmm, could be some debris near the cpu 3.3v supply; also looks like something bad happened down there.

In any case its gonna need a new 3.3v regulator, probably a fan mosfet and possibly a processor. Maybe more, hard to say without clear picture of the whole board, even then its a bit uncertain.

I'll leave it to the Duet people to determine the cause and action to take.

It would appear that something may have made contact with the board and shorted some pins.
Is this a new board and installation? Was it installed in an enclosure?
