Heatsink Fan won't turn on.
-
My heatsink fan won't turn on no matter what I do. All of my other fans are working as expected. I have also verified the fan is good in another fan port. Here is my config.g config (10).g
-
is the associated thermistor giving you correct readings?
M308 S1 P"temp0" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin temp0 M950 H1 C"out1" T1 ; create nozzle heater output on out0 and map it to sensor 1
-
yes I take it to 100c with no affect.
-
@wdenker Are sure your wiring matches you configuration? It's just that you've created sensor 0 to use connector "temp1" and sensor 1 to use connector "temp0". Maybe that's right but the logical way to do it would be to connect sensor (thermistor) 0 to temp0 and senor1 to temp1.
-
Maybe look up that link with firmware limitations and see if having the thermistor on the main board and the fan on an expansion is the issue (mobile and couldn't find it easily)
-
@deckingman yeah I just haven't gotten around to fixing it.
-
@bearer yeah I haven't found anything about that. I guess I could configure it just like the always on ones.
-
@bearer said in Heatsink Fan won't turn on.:

Edit: Any reason you can't use an input on expansion board 1 instead of temp0 on the main board? (Or move the fan, unless I read the config wrong?)
-
@bearer ya looks like I need to move either the thermistor or the fan.
-
@bearer moved the thermistor to the same board for the fan control and it is still not working.
-
@bearer Did notice I had the fan labeled as 1.out5 and it should have been 1.out7 fixed!!!!

some of the outpphew!
