Z probe my U axis - FW 3.1.1
-
Evening all,
I have 2 independent Z Axis (Z and U)
U is in driver e0
z probe is in e0stopI use below to z probe which works fine with my pressure pad switch, what would I need to do for my U axis to use the same pressure pad in e0stop?
M558 P5 C"!e0stop" H5 F300 T6000 ; set Z probe type to switch and the dive height + speeds
G31 P500 X0 Y0 Z4 ; set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger heightThanks

Are you trying to use it as a probe, or just an endstop for both axis?
Does the pressure pad switch attach to the print head or is it fixed to the frame?
Note that in RRF3 you do not need to create new axes in order to use multiple endstops on an axis. You simply need to list the pins used for endstops in your M574 command. See Bed levelling using multiple independent Z motors

Might be easier to show - this is my dual axis printer
this is a probe, in my e0stop
I want to home both my Z and U axis using the same probe

@nevur set the U axis to use the probe with
M574 U1 S2
in config.g, then home the axis withG1 H1 U-300 F300
. You can’t use G30 with any other axis apart from Z (as far as I know), and I’m not sure if the probe’s Z offset will be used, so you may need to use G92 U[offset] to set the axis position once the probe is triggered.Ian
