Toolboard Enclosure/Case

@I_Jedi sorry that noone seems to have an enclosure for 1LC. I've searched and found only this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4529342
which may be sufficient for a start. -
there is a .step file of the board itself that could be handy for designing your own case
maybe someone would throw something together for you if they knew more about your hotend situation; mounting options, cable management etc..

@bearer that would be great as I have zero experience working with step files.
i am just looking for a box with openings in the appropriate places for the connectors. I'll jigger the mounting plate for the box by merging it in 3DBuilder with my custom hotend mount I have (mosquito/BLtouch riding on a MGN track) -
@mundsen mockup up a model, but I haven't been able to find out if its available anywhere... comething like this would be great (but with knockouts for the wires to the connectors...

i played around with it while watching latest nonsense from bigclivedotcom; but it really doesn't make much sense making a box without any consideration to mounting?

@bearer -- YOU ROCK! That's awesome. I can merge it to the top plate on my hotend model and bam! Done! WOO HOO!

@bearer you are very kind in assisting. I did print out the earlier design (ok, I was so excited I jumped right on it :), The two minor issue I ran into were the clip on the power cable connector was too tall for the case to close (easy to extend the height of the top) and the side steppers connector was block (easy to cut out). I will give the updated one a go this weekend. I feel confident I can make any little tweaks by cutting and merging in 3DBuilder and this will be a super clean install on top of my hotend! Thank you very much for doing this!

ah, yes, I don't have the board and forgot to consider the plug on the cable. increase height 4mm? alternatively a cutout on the top
and the side steppers connector was block (easy to cut out).
not sure I follow, does that adress the issue? (picture would help)
4mm taller (same links in prev post; will edit once at a later time)

@bearer Outstanding! I will measure tonight, but I am sure 4mm will clear the retainer clip. And yes, it appears that the extruder connector is now in the clear! As we say in Hawaii, Mahalo Nui Loa (thank you very much)!
