A note about MeanWell power supplies - there are a lot of clones out there that look identical to the real thing from the outside. I would recommend buying from a well known supplier rather than from a Chinese (or other) Ebay / Ali Express etc seller. It is quite possible that the seller isn't even aware he is possibly selling clones.
Buying from a supplier who's reputation depends on selling the real thing will dramatically increase your odds of getting a genuine supply. -

not much, but if you're very over powered efficiency will suffer a little, but its perfectly safe.
second the point about reliable sources. I've gotten genuine meanwell off "redsky" on Ali Express, but thanks to new customs rules DigiKey was cheaper than Ali for the last two supplies I bought, even after paying 25% VAT at checkout it was cheaper - and - next day delivery. Ali is dead, long live DigiKey

So what happens if I pick a power supply with to high of a wattage ?Not a lot , the only disadvantage of get a bigger wattage power supply is the cost and may be size , but I would say there is more advantages getting one with a little head room.
