Having troubles connecting to the Duet 2 wifi
-
I had my duet 2 wifi working before, But now I can't seem to get it to work. When I open the yat terminal. It opens up like 6 com ports one right after the other. Then I can't really do anything. I have been watching the few videos out there. I am really stuck. Bums me out, because I had been using it for about a month. Sure hope I can get it working again. When I go into device manager, I only see two com ports. com port1 and printer port lpt1. When I run the update both ports say device is up to date. Really trying to figure this out. Any ideas out there?

in YAT disconnect from all the com ports, just have one window open, plug in the Duet and see what com part YAT offers as an option to connect to. that works for me under windows 10.
I assume its not connecting over Wifi or else you would not be trying YAT?
sometimes it can be a faulty device or wiring attached to the Duet thats preventing it from starting up properly so see if it makes any difference without anything plugged in.
finally if none of that works then you will need to try erasing the firmware and re-installing it via BOSSA. see:
https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Fallback_procedure_Num_2 and then procedure 3. -
@specktech maybe before erasing the firmware, also try a few different USB cables if your PC won't pick up the Duet. I have some cables that work fine with my phone, but not with my Duet.

Thank you so much for that tip. I will keep at it till I get it. Watching this video out there that helped me get it the first time. And reading all the documentation, a few times over. This duet is in my Ultimate Xl.

I got the Duet 2 wifi working again. So stoked. Thank you so much for those little tips. I really like the way this board works with my Ultimate XL. Big smiles Duet 3d.
