PT100 with a Duet-3-6HC & Tool-Board-LC1 ?

s why i asked if it would be possible to throughput the FYSETC amplifer on IO2 back to the main board.
pt100 sensor need an spi bus which io2 can not provide.
i would suggest getting a pt1000 sensor

Thats not happening, if the supposed best control board cant accept an analog input from a P100 amplifier thats a pretty poor show.
I would rather rip out the Duet-3 , install the 32bit GTR PRO V1.0 and run Klipper/Octoprint with the dwc2-for-klipper-socket, a board I know is going to accept an analog signal.

@JayJay that may be the way to go then as it won't be getting PT100 support. not enough room for all the components

Everyone seems to be missing my point, and the reason I asked for someone from offical support to comment
which is (if other options are not possible): can i throughput a single wire analog signal to the mainboard via the toolboard or not.

no, you can't.
plus, look at the limitations... https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_3_firmware_configuration_limitations#Section_Permanent_limitations -

you should get some fairly good response on ebay. not many get sold second hand so theres a good market

ebay.. ewwww no thank you, thats just asking to get bent over forwards when someone makes spurious claims about nothing to ebay

well i'm sure you have a good bin located in your workspace

aint that the truth , a somewhat sad state of affairs when that is all the supposed best is use for.

i on the other hand have no issues with my duet 3 or with any of my other boards running RRF

lucky you, but I suppose its too much to expect for it to do something so simple, and will be looked upon much like the "special use case" deckingman endures.

what do you have against pt1000 sensors?

Nothing, but I already have PT100 sensors, PT100 amplifiers and even a genuine Duet PT100 Daughter board, so why should i buy (and wait months) for more components when even a simple ramps based boards can accept a single wire analog signal.
And when i also have a few GTR V1.0 boards, if im going to have to rewire anyway why should I stick with the Duet if it cant do simple things.

@JayJay none of us are stopping you from changing.
just please don't install the version of RRF for the GTR as I'd rather not have to help you with support -

@JayJay thats good. if you don't know about the STM port of RRF, I won't tell you

I saw my name mentioned. For what it's worth, I used to run PT100s on my gen 2 Duet Ethernet but ditched them long ago (well before I "upgraded" to gen 3) and reverted back to simple thermistors. They were just more trouble than they were worth IMO. The main problem being susceptibility to noise which I never fully cured (tried 4 wire mode, screened cable and all that stuff). PT100s may be inherently more accurate but if the signal is noisy, that simply negates any benefits.
I've made it fairly clear that I'm not the biggest fan of Duet Gen3 but personally, I wouldn't use the lack of support for PT100s as a reason to ditch it.

The way you've responded comes off more as a troll than someone with an actual issue. So I'm clear, you're asking (demanding) that the TOOLBOARD support a PT100 sensor, but if it can't and won't, you're going to rip it out, buy new hardware, and HAVE to route wires from the head to the main board anyway, something that was a plausible solution with using the Duet3. You then say you're not willing to use a PT1000 because you'd have to buy additional hardware, and wait for it's delivery, so instead, that too is why you'd rip out a Duet3 and buy (and wait) for an entire new controller and hardware. Because why spend more money when you have parts.
I wanted to make sure I understand this logic.
