Does the BLTouch get wired to 5V or 3.3V on Duet 3 mini 5+?
-
The dozuki documentation calls out 5V, as does the BLTouch manufacturer. However, the RRF config tool gives this warning: "Make sure you change it to use +3.3V instead of +5V before you connect it or you risk damaging your board!" (this is specifically using the Duet 3 Mini 5+ in standalone mode where I get the warning).
On my old maestro the BLTouch was wired to 5V, so I'm not sure which voltage to use now. Thanks

It will in part depend which version of BLTouch you have. 3.1 doesn’t really care which of the two voltage you use. If you want to use 3.3v logic, you just cut the one trace that’s meant to “convert” it to 3.3v. Personally I use the normally available 5v available on the io that offers it on the duet.

the 3.1 does not have the trace to cut.
it can be configured between the two with a servo command.the warning is for old duet 2 board.
connect it to 5v just like on the maestro.

IIRC all bltouch require 5V supply, regardless of the 3.3/5V choice of logic levels.
BTW, the Antclabs documentation is poorly written IMO. As if somebody copy/pasted text from various publications.

@zapta My genuine 3.1 bltouch works fine at 3.3v on my Duet 3 6HC and Mini. I never sent any gcode to set it.

@Veti Thank you for clarifying the warning. I have the V1.0 BLTouch, and it is currently setup for 5V.
