X and y axis drivers not working
-
I have been purchasing products for a build of a Railcore II and finally got all the parts needed (including custom parts) and assembled it turns out that 2 of the 5 motors that i purchased were different than the other 3 of them 2x 42STH60-2004AC and 3x LDO-42STH40-1684MAC turns out the two 2004AC motors have different polarity than the other three. The DuetWifi board i purchased around the same time 2 of the drivers don't work i don't know if this is due to the 2x out of phase motors or if the board was defective from the start. i have verified that the motors do work with modified cables on different drivers but the two ports on the board don't work with any motor including known good.
I get error message as follows when moving x or y axis. Firmware version is 3.2.2.
Warning motor phase b may be disconnected reported by drivers 0 4
Current work around is to connect x and y to different drivers and everything is functional.

Connecting the phases incorrectly does have the potential to short the drivers and damage them. It's bvery important that the phases be identified and connected correctly. Different motors use different arrangements and there is no real standard. Even when you get a pinout from the manufacturer it might not match the driver pinout. Only sure way to know is to test and find the pairs.
-
Is there a way to test that the driver is not functional and/or reset anything to get it to work again?
-
Which drivers are having the problem? The error message indicates 0 and 4?
To test if it's the driver you would configure the driver, connect a motor, and command some motion and see what happens.
-
Already did that and no motion with a known good motor. Yes it is the 0 and 4 drivers
-
Then it's very likely the drivers are damaged unfortunately.

When and where did you purchase the Duet? We may be able to offer a refurbished board as replacement at reduced cost. If you're interested, please contact roland@duet3d.com to inquire. Please include a link to this thread.

@Phaedrux I sent you an email I don’t want to post the name of the retailer on the forums here, I don’t want anyone to second guess using them as a retailer. Thank you for your assistance in this matter,.
