Solved BL-touch setting on Reprap Firmware 3.0
-
Hello,
today I tried upgrade firmware on my Duet Wifi from 2.05.1 to 3.01RC6. Upgrade was successfull but unfortunately my BL Touch not work after upgrade.I connected BL TOUCH according to this manual:
https://betrue3d.dk/bltouch-on-duet-wifi-configuratio-and-usage/With FW version 2.05.1 BL TOUCH worked OK. I understand that I must edit config.g, deployprobe.g, retractprobe.g and home files. I did it, but BL TOUCH not work. After power on BL TOUCH did self test, but thats all. Commands M401, M402 or M280 from console not work and homez and home all not work too.
Here is my config.g:

I'm struggling with this very same problem to get my BL Touch working with Firmware 3.0 on my Duet 2 board.
My Config.g is like this for the Z-Probe Section.
; Z-Probe
M558 P9 C"zprobe.in" H5 F120 T6000 ; set Z probe type to unmodulated and the dive height + speeds
M950 S0 C"zprobe.out"

M557 X15:215 Y15:195 S20 ; define mesh gridMy Deployprobe file looks like this.
; Probe deployment routine for BL Touch Single Extruder
M950 S0 C"zprobe.out"
M280 P5 S10I think I'm pretty close, but can anyone spot why it is not working???

M950 S0 C"zprobe.out"
M280 P5 S10This isn't right at all. Remove the M950 entirely.
The M280 should be M280 P0 S10

If this is a duet2 board there is no zprobe.out pin. Instead you would be using one of the heater pins from the expansion port.
How do you have the yellow/orange wire connected? That's the wire for the servo control and the pin you connect it to on the board needs to be called out in the M950 command.
Here's what the config tool generates.
; Z-Probe M950 S0 C"exp.heater3" ; create servo pin 0 for BLTouch M558 P9 C"^zprobe.in" H5 F120 T6000 ; set Z probe type to bltouch and the dive height + speeds G31 P500 X0 Y0 Z2.5 ; set Z probe trigger value, offset and trigger height M557 X15:215 Y15:195 S20 ; define mesh grid

@phaedrux
Thanks for the reply
I will check things out tonight.
The wiring was left alone from when I was on firmware 2.0.
The signal pin I'm using is Heater3.
So what you are showing and what I since discovered should hopefully solve my issue.
I temporarily commented out the "M950 commands" as I though they were not needed. So thanks for confirming this as well.
I will advise what I find tonight! -
@pete1961
Problem Solved, Thanks!!!
