Im having issues where alterations in the config.g file have no effect on the actual z height used during printing.
Not sure what's going on . Help appreciated

    RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 3.2 (2021-01-05)

    Duet Web Control 3.2.0

Has worked fine for years to the extent that fine tuning on a textured PEI surface gave fantastic results by "squishing" the first layer "into" the texture but since a recent firmware update no amount of adjustment in config.g has any effect on actual print height.

      Hi,

In the G31 command there looks like a space after the Z parameter before the value of 1.00.

Perhaps the new firmware doesn't like that space.

Well I think spaces like that are probably incorrect and should cause problems - it would be better if it caused a warning message to be issued.

@phil-maddox You can send G31 on it's own to check the Z offset setting. If you updated from RRF2, I have seen some reports that the update doesn't work quite correctly, and reflashing the firmware can fix some instances of strange behaviour. Also, 3.2.2 was a bug fix version to 3.2, and recommended to update to that (which you have done).

@fcwilt Well the removal of the space seemed to work !! Thanks for spotting that. Of course i need to kind of test it out properly but my instinct of " if it ain't broke don't fix it" is kicking in.
              Thanks again

@droftarts Thanks . The problem is i updated to 3.2.2 and removed the space in the config. g file so am not really sure what solved what. Always an issue changing more things at once and I'm kicking myself for not doing them individually
