    • RE: Panel Due 4.3 dead after erase and reset pressed

      @Phaedrux & NeueKlasse

      Well what do you know

      Had decided to consider the board dead

      Then got to thinking well is the LCD dead or the interface daughter board ?????? Which to order / replace?

      While looking closely at the daughterboard i decided to re flow the USB socket pins . Nothing to loose as it was dead
      ( i remember reading that extreme care was needed on the earlier board(s) so as not to rip off the USB sockets)
      I had some "PCB repair / reflow flux" and used the finest tip of my cheapo solder station

      Reassembled the boards and it now works !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Thanks for your tips and advice . While im getting quite good at diagnosing things, it always great to hear from others and cross check my thinking process. Cheers

      @tandar
      In case anybody else reads this thread
      In the process of upgrading my trinus to a more modern control board i have evaluated the options for adapting the bed and chosen what in my opinion is the most simple and straight forward
      The mod is reversible but does require some wiring and a thermistor.

      Hope this helps
      Kodama heated bed mod

      While the board i have is slightly newer than the OP's they are compatible with each other
      and the Panowin Kodama & Bardo boards so the wiring / pin outs etc should be identical

      @droftarts Thanks . The problem is i updated to 3.2.2 and removed the space in the config. g file so am not really sure what solved what. Always an issue changing more things at once and I'm kicking myself for not doing them individually

      @fcwilt Well the removal of the space seemed to work !! Thanks for spotting that. Of course i need to kind of test it out properly but my instinct of " if it ain't broke don't fix it" is kicking in.
      Thanks again

      Im having issues where alterations in the config.g file have no effect on the actual z height used during printing.
      Not sure what's going on . Help appreciated

      Has worked fine for years to the extent that fine tuning on a textured PEI surface gave fantastic results by "squishing" the first layer "into" the texture but since a recent firmware update no amount of adjustment in config.g has any effect on actual print height.

      Hi
      I have an issue that the tool position isn't being updated in the "move" screen. I found the same with 3.2.7
      Other than that the machine works great.
      I used to use the move page to evaluate my Z offset and it was handy to be able to home all then move Z down to it print height and see how things were in comparison to the Z offset set in config.g
      X & Y are not updated either
      The axis position are also not updated on the main screen either

      Tool position is updated instantly & correctly in DWC
