Two different cooling fans for a single hotend: How to?
-
Hi,
I am replacing my 12 Volts PSU to 24 Volts. For this purpose, I've bought 2 24 Volts blower fans. Unfortunately, one of the fans has a physical problem, so I can't use it right now. This leaves me with the option to use one of my old 12 Volts blower fan as a replacement for the defective 24 Volts one.. I have a 24 Volts to 12 Volts converter, so I can adjust the voltage, however in my current configuration, the 2 12 Volts fans are wired together to connect to a single PWM fan output. Can I use a second PWM fan connector to control the second blower with the voltage converter, while the 24 Volts fan will be connected directly to the original PWM connector? I am already using a thermostatically controlled fan for the hotend, so I still have 1 PWM fan connector available. The question is how to define the tool in the config.g Can I assign 2 PWM fans to the same tool?
Thanks...

Yes, the M563 command accepts multiple values for the F parameter, e.g.:
M563 P0 H1 D0 F0:2

I am running my 2 fans on the hotend in parallel
