    Repetier firmware had a provision for inhibiting travel beyond the homing switch. The homing switch, after referencing would act as a limit switch which would restrict any movement beyond the switch. The duet firmware does not seem to have this am I right?or it can be set this way?

      @mendelevium you can convert an endstop into a trigger using M581. That would replicate the functionality.
      Just remap them back to endstops at the start of the homing file

      Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

        If you have your M208 limits set correctly the firmware should already prevent travel beyond the limit switch or defined printable area. Otherwise remapping to a estop trigger is the best option.
