      Hia,
I am looking to get my cable management sorted out, and am looking to choose the relevant wiring for the x carriage, would 18AWG be suitable for all connections including the heater cartridge.

The machine is running at 24v, the heater cartridge in question is 24v, 62W.

the cable is: Aliexpress 8 Core 18AWG

I already understand that everything else can including stepper motors can be run at 24AWG, so knowing this would the 18awg be overkill or perfect with all necessary head room

The wire will be terminated through a DB25 screw terminal connector, whilst on the other end closer to the duet it will be terminated at the din rail terminal block.

      Please Advise

Ender 5 pro(LGXextruderddewith e3d revo rapid changer) with fly rrf e3 and a standard prusa mk3, both siting air-tight in a ikea kitchen cabinet.

@npm1, you already know it's overkill. I would try to go to at least 20 ga .
18 ga with 8 cores is FAT and it will reflect on the movements of the head, Looks like very nice cable though with very fine strands and good flexibility
