Computer not recognizing stock SD card
-
I recently began setting up my duet 3 mainboard and am following this guide and on step2. guide
But as soon as I put the supplied SD card in my laptop nothing works. I have a PanelDue and have put the SD in my RPi and powered everything on and it worked fine, the GUI was there so I know the SD card has been loaded. But I can't access the SD card from my computer to add the wpa_supplicant.conf file.
Does anyone know why the SD card wouldn't show up on my windows machine?

The SD card comes dual formatted with a linux partition readable by the Pi (but not by windows) and a readable partition for windows that can have your config and DWC files loaded for standalone usage with the SD card in the Duet.
Do you not see a boot partition when you put it in your PC?

Once you're in the Pi GUI, can't you just join a network?
If you're not running headless, you don't really need to use the supplicant file.

@phaedrux Join the network from the PanelDue display? I didn't know this could be done... I do want to be able to use the web server functionality and the paneldue.

I thought you were referring to the Pi gui.
Do you have a HDMI display and mouse and keyboard you can connect to the Pi?
-
@Phaedrux my HDMI port is not working for the PI when I use the supplied SD card and duet board is ribbon cable connected to the Pi GPIO header... I tested with my normal Pi SD that I use for RPi projects and HDMI hardware port works fine. It's when I try to use this other SD card.
Is there a special way to connect to the Pi with this set-up? I can't SSH into it right now...

I think at this point it might make more sense to download the full duet pi image with Gui and re burn the SD card entirely then try the Pi with a screen and keyboard to see how it's going.

@phaedrux problem is resolved. I used a new SD and went through the process and it is working! I am thinking I may have let windows format the SD when it asked.
