Duet 2: Config 1x X, 4x Y and 2x Z motor
-
Hello together,
I am currently building a 3D printer (Corexz). However, I need help to adjust the config file to the number of axis motors so that the 4x Y-motors and the two Z-motors run in parallel. Can one of you help me? Many thanks smiling smiley

@space96
IMHO drive mapping would look like thatM584 X0 Y1:7:8:9 Z2:6 E4:5
You won't have to repeat the settings for all xyz motors, only extruders need seperate values

Just out of curiosity how are you using four Y steppers?
The CoreXY printers I have seen only have one X and one Y.
Thanks.

@space96 the drivers on the DueX are labelled E2 to E6, which are driver numbers 5 thru 9 respectively. If it's driver 5 (aka E2) that has no motor connected then you need:
M584 X0 Y1:7:8:9 Z2:6 E3:4

@fcwilt A CoreXZ not Y

Thanks - I missed that - have to look up what a CoreXZ is.

I looked up CoreXZ and it shows the Y axis is the moving bed.
So why would that need four steppers?
Thanks.

@fcwilt Ha I admit I breezed right over what you were really asking... Yeah I can't think of a reason for that many Y's either... World's heaviest print bed?

Maybe the OP just likes the sound of lots of steppers.
Thanks.
