Noob questions regarding Primacreator P120 D3M5+ project
-
Hi,
I want to check with you guys if it is reasonably doable to use a Primacreator P120 V4 with a D3M5+
It most certainly isn't the sexiest HW but it is what I have at hand and am hoping it is possible as a first project to get it running. It is a very cheap and small printer that I bought to have next to my computer just for the fun of it, but the noise from the steppers(?) drives me insane.
It is powered by 12V 7A
The lead screw is 4mm and I'm guessing the pitch is 0.7mm, would it be worth it to try and fit a 8mm screw with a 8mm pitch instead?
All comments are more than welcome.

@tmicke why not make sure you're running them in stealthchop?

I have never heard of that command before and made a quick search for it. It seems only to be used with Reprap firmware and my printer currently runs on Marlin, I think..My goal is to put a duet card in the printer, if it is reasonable to do so.
I have no idea how to get all the information required, such as max rated currents for the motors and gear ratios and so on.
I have sent a email to Primacreator asking for the info otherwise I guess itโs trial and error that awaits me. -
Anything is possible. If it has steppers, heaters, thermistors, it can be made to work.
Take a look at these

M503 is your friend, I just discovered..
But please, let me know your thoughts on fitting a Duet 3 Mini 5plus card to this printer.

Oh, I was writing when you posted..
Thanks for the tips, I'll look into them. -
@tmicke sorry. I'd assumed you'd already fitted the board. Sorry
