Extruder stops in the middle
-
HI, I finally got the bed leveled as much as I could, I actually used a tramming height digital gauge to help out. This together with the mesh or height map the prints started to look really good until the extruder stops extruding, not sure why yet. I pause the print the do a extruding test and everything works fine, no clogs or anything. I have the Bigtreetech sensor but it doesn't alert to the fact that the filament is not moving. Maybe that sensor stops the extruder one of my first tests I will remove it and see. However when I pause the print and do an extrusion test the nozzle flows the filament just fine. This is very puzzling. Has anyone had the extruder stop in the middle of a print. I actually monitor the prints so when I notice this to happen I giggle the filament after the extruder test -which has no issues- when it resumes the print I need to giggle the filament to get it going again. Then it stops again and I go thru the same thing again. This picture shows where it stopped and restarted and eventually I killed the print.

I'm trying to understand what 'giggle' means in this context. Is it an translation error? Can you describe with other words?

@o_lampe
I think they mean wiggle
If this is the case then maybe the filament is stripped and wiggling will get it to catch again -
@o_lampe I meant to say jiggle.

@jsinicro wiggle works too.

Perhaps you have intermittent break in your extruder wires? Do you get any error messages in DWC?
What current are you running the motors at? What current are the motors rated for? Perhaps it's stalling?

@phaedrux OK, that actually makes sense. I will check when I get home, but for the extruder motor its a NEMA 17 I think I have it set at 800mA or 1.2A..

@jsinicro No errors at DWC.

@jsinicro
If you have to push the filament to make it work again, you might have a problem with the PTFE tubes in the hotend.
