-
hallo,
sorry for this question but i am not sure and english isnt my homelanguage.i have a duet3 6hc with 24v running. the fans are on 12v. all fine.
now i own also a tootlboard 1.1 and i am not sure about the fans. can i connect the 12v fans to out_1 / out_2 on the toolboard if i set the 12v jumper and connect 24v to the toolboard ?i connect the toolboard 1.1 direct to the duet3 6hc. i soldered the jumper to terminate the can. but i dont have to connect the 120r because the 120r is already on the board and the jumper only avtivate the 120r ?

thx for the answer.
my last question is about the power connecting of the toolboard.
it should be possible to connect the power of the toolboard to the out1/2/3 of the duet6 right ? configured as fan.they are fused with 5a and should be enough

No, do not try to switch the power to the tool board from an OUT port.

hallo,
i have searched in forum here and will buy an fuse holder with a 5a fuse.
thank you for the answer -
@joeko you can buy an in-line fuse holder if that is most convenient. Here's an example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262131520883.

hallo,
yes i bought one and the toolboard is connected and updated with the board to 3.3.but now i have problems with the x endstop (a switch) conntect to
M574 X1 S1 P"121.io2.in"
but the endstop wont be triggered. no reaction and checked with m115. on the duet 6 hc i have connected the endstop between in and ground. on the toolboard also. on the toolboard wiki i found this"Input only with +5V power, for endstops or tool pickup detection switch. Input is 30V-tolerant"
i dont want destroy my hardware but am i right that i have to connect the switch between +5v and io2.in on the jst conector ?

@joeko it would be normal to connect the switch between io2.in and ground.
after one crimpcheck more (and not the first one) i made an new cable and what happen ? all fine between io2.in and ground
faulty crimp was the problem... -
@joeko glad you found the problem!
