Did you check to be sure there was no continuity from power in (positive or negative) to the metal plate?

Does the ribbon cable have continuity on all it's pins?

This is a "new" Duex, ordered it 13 months ago and installed it this week.When and where was the Duex purchased?

It would be out of warranty, but seeing as it hasn't been used until now, and the issue seems to be that the Duex is not being detected at all, I think we should cover it under warranty.

Recieved my new Duex yesterday and work out just great now!
Now I'm off to get use of some 3-point-independent-z-motor-super-mega-heavy-duty-auto-bed-leveling
