Max current on Duet 2 expansion header
-
What is the maximum current draw on the Duet 2 3.3v and 5v expansion header pins?

@chimaeragh See https://docs.duet3d.com/Duet3D_hardware/Duet_2_family/Duet_2_WiFi_Ethernet_Hardware_Overview#operating-limits
5V current limit: 2.0A total on 5V and 3.3v, including the internal current consumption (around 200-300mA), any PanelDue or other display, and any endstops/Z probes that draw significant power.

@chimaeragh The expansion header pins are unbuffered, so you should not draw more than 10-20 mA from each.
-
@infiniteloop That's true for the I/O pins, but the 3.3V and 5V pins on the expansion header are direct to the voltage regulators. So it's the current the voltage regulators can support, once the draw of the rest of the system has been taken into account.
