Duet Smart Effector not triggering on first probe point
-
When auto leveling, the first probe point is not considered triggered although the nozzle hits the bed. The green indicator light is not turned on either although the nozzle scrapes against the bed. On all subsequent probe points the green indicator comes on and the point is considered triggered. Only the first point fails to trigger.

I guess you need to check your wiring.
Does the led light up on board power on?
Does it light up if you tap the nozzle with your finger fairly hard? -
@jay_s_uk
I checked the wiring on both ends and they make a connection. The LED blinks twice when powering on and blinks once when tapped. -
@jay_s_uk
I am getting this error when activating the hotend: new tool too close to z axis limit. aborting tool change -

Does it trigger properly on a single G30?
Can you post your bed.g as well?
Can you post a video of it happening?

Here is a video of it happening. This time it triggered after ramming the bed and grinding against it:

It seems to have a problem with that area on the second pass as well. I'm guessing it may have to do with the sensor wiring touching or coming into proximity with the magnets in the rods. -

@phaedrux
The first point. I have since moved the wires away from the rods and am not getting any failures. It seems to have been the magnets in the rods interfering with the current going to and from the sensor. -

@dc42
That's what I thought, too, so I reinstalled new crimps with no luck
