Does that mean if R in M950 and P in M563 are the same number during CNC mode, I would not need to write P# when using an M3 command?

      Yes.

Should any spindle defining commands be in the tfree#.g tpre#.g and tpost#.g? That is to say I load the spindle separately from config.g file?

There is no need to do that. In config.g, define all your spindles, then for each tool specify which spindle it uses in its M563 command.

Not sure if this got noted @dc42 but I'm finding I still have to write the P# for the M3 command to work - I've start a separate post about this.

3.4 beta2 on my Flsun QQ-S pro with duet3d 2 wifi. upgraded today. I had 3.3 beta 2 before this. All working as it should.

The reason I upgraded was the bugfix for loosing z0 position of bed when homing delta. And I want to try out the accelerometer part. just gotta get the accelerometer and hook it up next week.

Well it is a beta version.

I never attempt to use a beta version in a production printer but I will test them on my workbench where I have a set of electronics for just for testing things like that.

@fcwilt ok however even previous versions like 3.3 were not so good, every now and then it turns out an inconsistent behavior that has no logic. there is something in the firmware that is not good is not reliable completely. I also have a zortrax and I assure you that it does not miss a beat does what it must always do perfectly

                  What problems are you seeing?

I have four printers using very different designs all running 3.3 on both Duet 2 and Duet 3 hardware and they print just fine.

3.4.1. It's not in the poll.
