3D models of Duet Maestro or dimensionally correct 2D files?

If anyone has a 3D model of the Duet Maestro board in any 3D file format that would be great.

Otherwise don't want to reinvent the wheel so looking for correctly dimensional 2D files, that I can use to build a 3D model of the Duet 2 Maestro board, without measuring everything.

The support page says "A 3d model of the Duet 2 Maestro has not yet been produced."

I found the SVG connection diagrams:

Are these dimensionallly accurate?

I see the dimensions diagram and can't see to scale the SVG to match up:

If not accurate; is there another better resource/file that has precise locations of chips and connectors?

Also don't know which version, v1.1 to v1.3, I have as don't see any version numbers on my board. Is there a way to find this out?

@tinker We don't have a 3D model of the Maestro populated with 3D components, so it would take some work to produce this, which we are unlikely to do for a board that has been out of production since June 2020.

There is only one version of the Maestro (v1.0), and no board revisions, at least that Duet3D produced.

The three wiring drawing svg files are effectively the same; there are different versions for corrections to the drawing, not the Maestro PCB.

The dimension diagram is an svg converted to a jpeg. Here is the original svg, that is to scale; I quickly opened it in InkScape and it seems to be.

If you need a better starting point, install KiCad, and open the board files from https://github.com/Duet3D/Duet-2-Hardware/tree/master/Duet2/Duet2Maestro_v1.0. You can export a dimensioned drawing, or the board layout, from that relatively easily.

I could provide a step file reduced to the main parts.
But the file size is to big for uploading here (9,5mb as zip)

@droftarts Thank you very much; the kiCad files are exactly what I was looking for. Never used this program before but was quickly able to export the PCB as STEP and other layers as SVG which will be an excellent starting point for a 3D model. You have saved me at least a days worth of work!

Built a model tonight and it went a lot faster than expected. Thanks @droftarts for the KiCad info. PCB export helped greatly for major component placement. The SVG export was used to generate decals that show the copper traces and silkscreen. Thanks @DIY-O-Sphere for the model. Was not able to download it but found others I could pull components from.

Had to build a bunch of components that I could not find but it did not take too long. Here is the work in progressl. Yet to do the bottom decal and the External Driver Expansion board. Then will finally be able to build a case for it to get my printer completed.

@tinker wow, looks great! So does yours @DIY-O-Sphere ! If you are happy to share when finished (either or both of you) I’ll get Tony to add them to GitHub, or at least share a link to this forum thread.
