Is it possible to connect the Duet 3 to a rpi 4 with a usb cable or any other method without the ribbon cable, as it is too short

@tratoon no. it needs to be SPI, so the ribbon cable

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

@jay_s_uk is there anyway to only connect necessary pins or are all of them necessary. If so which ones need to be connected?

@jay_s_uk I looked at https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/20883/duet3-sbc-wiring-without-the-ribbon-cable/14 but I still don’t understand which pins need connections and where they go on both boards also some of the poster’s pin outs don’t match mine like TFR_rdy and spi_npcs0

@tratoon yes, you can just connect the pins required but I really wouldn't recommend running a cable any longer than the one provided as you will run into issues. SPI really inst great over long cables.
Why do you need the SBC? For WiFi?
