Updated to RRF 3.4.5, no more toolboards
-
@gnydick What TOOL1LC version are you using? I'd like to reproduce this if possible.
-
I just upgraded from 3.4.4 to 3.4.5 and the printer is bricked
The upgrade went as expected, the printer asked if I wanted to upgrade (yes) and it never came back from the disconnection. I did a couple of power cycles to attempt to fix it but no luck.
Looking at my network, the IP from the printer is not present.
Also it looks like all the tool cooling fans (normally temp controlled) are full on. -
Yup, she be bricked alright

@paolozampini1973, hmmmm ..... don't know what to say - "she's dead jim"
What's the best way to downgrade? - Can I just pop out the memory card and install all the files directly from a separate computer ?
Guess I should have made a backup before upgrading - my bad

@paolozampini1973, with a lot of help from @chrishamm I was able to re-flash the firmware and am now back in business.

@jens55 on 3.4.4 or 3.4.5?
-
@oliof, not clear on what you are asking but I went from 3.4.4 to 3.4.5 which failed. I then installed 3.4.5 using bossa and that worked.

SBC mode or standalone?
-
@dc42, standalone
-
@jens55 did you upload the zip file, or did you attempt to update the firmware in some other way?
-
@dc42, I uploaded the zip file, it unpacked successfully, it asked me if I wanted to install the new firmware (I said yes) and did it's thing. The printer disconnected and then never reconnected.
Once I had bossa up and running, before I did anything else, I did a 'verify' and tat actually failed so something was corrupt. I then replaced the firmware with bossa, disconnected the usb cable and powered up and all was well -
@jens55 thanks. Which main board do you have?
-
@dc42 6HC

Another 3.4.5 (MB6HC, SBC) with Toolboard 1LC 1.3. Toolboard is gone after firmware update to 3.4.5.
I've done lots of poking at it (initially it was a 2 blink, no firmware) now it's a 3 blink (bad CRC). I forced downgrade to 3.4.4, etc. No dice.
I have a thread on the Firmware board about it also:

@chrishamm my boards are 1.3
