FTP Connection issues
-
I've having some issues with connecting to the printer through FTP for some reason.
This is the printers networking config:
M552 S1 ; Enable network G4 S1 ; Wait a second M586 P0 S1 ; Enable HTTP (for DWC) M586 P1 S1 ; Enable FTP (for remote backups) M586 P2 S0 ; Disable Telnet
I've other than that it's setup for static ip etc, but when i try to connect to the printer with WinSCP it ask for Username and Password for login, i just click "ok" on both of those since i haven't setup any username or password. Then WinSCP changes over to "Connected" & "Starting Session", at this point the program freezes and shuts down.
Is it some config i'm missing on the printer? Or has WinSCP got a whiff of aids?
😅

@Exerqtor what firmware version are you running?
-
@Exerqtor oh, and can you try FileZilla?

@jay_s_uk
Sorry i forgot to mention it this time lmao. I'm on 3.4.5 on everything.Just tried to reinstal WinSCP, and now i get connected, but the connection drops as soon as i try to open a folder or copy something etc. So i'll try FileZilla now and see if that helps.

Just throwing it out there, having a DWC instance open shouldn't mess with the FTP connection should it?
-
@Exerqtor no, they're separate connections
-
That's what i thought as well, Filezilla and windows explorer both seem stable so it's apparently WinSCP that's full of shait, good to know.

@Exerqtor RRF in standalone mode supports only one active transfer connection. If you want to transfer multiple files, make sure to apply this setting in your FTP client before you attempt it.
