Ok idiot confession time. I have built a Voron 2.4r2. I was shaking it down and thanks to the good people here I had everything working except my hot end and parts cooling fan. Trying to diagnose the problem I decided to see if I has current on the out3 pins. Using my multimeter to check voltage on pins Gnd and v_outlcl3+ I managed to short them. After that the board stayed lit and everything seemed to keep working. However, when I tried to home the machine I could move X and Y axis but when I tried to move the 4 Z motors they stuttered and I received a low voltage error at about 8.5v.

      Questions:

Is the board (or some part of it) fried? If it is, can it be fixed or do I need to replace it?

Also, I am using a Lineo pre built harness with the 10 pin PCB extruder PCB that was set up for Duet 3 6HC board. So, I had to change some of the connectors on the Duet end. The PF (parts fan) connector only had one wire. I assume it is grounded (or powered by, not sure which) in the PCB. Which pin should this wire be connected to on the out3 pins?

There is one more strange thing going on here. When I connect it to the v_outlcl3+ pins the LED on the hot end light up. I know this because when I start the board with the connector connected the lights come on. When I start it without the wire connected the lights do not come on. Makes me wonder if this wire was mislabeled or could something else be going on here.

As always, thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.

Do you see any damaged components on the board?

Do any components get hot to the touch after being powered for a few minutes?

Can you post a clear close up photo?

        What does M122 report?

Sorry, now it is really idiot/rookie confession time. I checked the things you suggested and found no obvious issues. However, when taking pictures I did notice something that is about as rookie a mistake as is possible that I had completely overlooked. As Occam once said... the simplest solution is probably the best/right one. The 10A fuse blew. When I replaced it all began to work as expected.

I curious what that fuse does as everything worked generally as it should but it did not work right. I assume that it has something to do with the 24v system but is there more to it than that?

Sorry for wasting your time and thanks. Jim

@JADoglio the 10A fuse is for all the VIN, other than the bed. To blow it something was drawing 10A+ which if you are not sure what that was is concerning.

Thanks Tony. I do know what caused it I shorted pins Gnd and V_OUTLC1+ on "out 3"....

Yes, that would blow either the fuse or a trace on the PCB.
