Hi…
How I will can reinstall firmware?
I can't access to web interface.
With USB and Prontface.. Gives me error described up.Maybe I can try to a kind of soft reset.
What options I have?
-
That error suggests either that the WiFi module has failed, or a power supply issue. To check whether it is a power supply issue:
- If you are using USB power only, try with VIN power applied.
- If it still happens with VIN power, disconnect the Z probe, PanelDue and any 3-wire endstop switches form the Duet, and try again.
- If it still gives those connection failure messages, ask your supplier to replace the Duet.
-
hi…
i had power supply applied
i try to disconect Z probe, panel due (that now, not works) and endstops.... and dont works, the same "Trying to connect"its very strange, yesterday works, and i have not tocuh the printer until this morning.... and when conect with Prontface, printer works in part....
What works:
- Can connect with Pronterface
- Can move 3 axis
- Can Home
- Bed Heats
What do not works:
- Nozzle NOT heat
- Wifi NOT works
- Panel Due NOT works

It sounds to me that you have no internal 5V power. If you disconnect the USB and apply VIN power, which LEDs are lit on the edge of the board?
Is the 5V_INT jumper in place?
-
yes, its in place.
-
And the LEDs on the edge of the board?
-
hi,
yes, leds are on, 1 blue and 3 reds…
i am triying things, before deciding if I sent the Duet Board to England
I have try method number 1. I have unplugged Endstops and Zprobe
[[language]] With the Duet powered by USB only, press the ERASE button in and hold for a few seconds. Release and then press the RESET button, or unplug the USB lead and plug it in again. NOTE: The ERASE and RESET buttons may be “sticky” and not spring back out after pressing. In this event you should gently ease the button out with your fingernail or small pointed object. Wait a few seconds for the Duet to reboot before proceeding. Enter the following command to initiate the upload, then press Enter (If you are uploading a different firmware version then change the 1.13b to match the name of your file) bossac.exe -e -w -v -b RepRapFirmware-1.13b.bin Bossac will report that it has found the device on a COM port, erase flash memory, upload and verify the firmware, and set it as bootable.
After i try to conect by usb with Prontface, and try to HOME, axis move a little, and this comment in Prontface console… some idea?
[[language]] Attempt to move the head of a Delta or SCARA printer before homing the towers [ERROR] Traceback (most recent call last): File "printrun\printcore.pyc", line 241, in _readline File "printrun\pronterface.pyc", line 1713, in recvcb File "printrun\pronterface.pyc", line 1669, in update_pos ValueError: could not convert string to float:

Is the green 3.3V LED on?
Ignore the Pronterface message, Pronterface does that because the M114 response sent by RRF has one extra space compared to the one sent by Marlin, and Pronterface can't handle that. The extra space is removed in the 1.20 beta firmware.

sorry but … I'm daltonic, I do not know if it's red or green, think is red..

Yes, that LED (the one closest to the Erase button) is green.
I'm sorry, it does sounds as though the WiFi module on your board has developed a fault.
-
Bufff…. And it's possible try to change for myself? Or I have to send board to UK?
-
To change it yourself, you would need hot air desoldering equipment, and you would lose the remaining warranty on your board.
-
The board it's in England way… To Sat...
-
Is there any update on this because i get the same problem. I get the Error: Installation failed due to comm write error. I contacted http://filastruder.com the supplier, how long is the warenty? I got this board in Aug but did not use it until now.
-
In my case… Duet board people give me a very good service....

The warranty is 6 months, so you are covered.
If you were running the board on USB power only when you attempted to upgrade the WiFi firmware, try again with VIN power applied.
