We read about former conversions of the CreatBot D600 pro to the Duett3D controller. We bought the Controller, the LCD and a Duex5 Extension Board. Now we do not plan to invent the wheel a second time. So hopefully we can get some further information how the former conversions were done. Does anyone know details like steps per millimeter on the axes and how the temperature sensors work with the Duet3D board. The hardware of the machine is basically ok, but we are fighting firmware bugs and CreatBot does not agree in the problems or share the firmware. Any help would be appreciated. We look forward to document our steps and share the approvements and STL files of parts we designed to improve this printer.

Finding the correct steps per mm could be done experimentally by starting with conservative movement values and best guess starting point and then measuring the actual movement achieved compared to commanded.

@phaedrux We know how to do that. I Even have the Trinamic experimental boards and Software. I thought that their might be people here that can share details of their conversions.

@WapuraRalf, I, too, would like to know if you've worked this out. I can't stand the thought of having this big chunk of hardware that works like garbage.

@bbeardb I have also done the conversion. It works perfectly, what do you want to know ?

@Shoki, basically, I'd need to know everything as I've never done something like this. I was able to get all the Marlin files from Creatbot, so I hope that helps on this journey. I've been going through those to see if I can make it work better in the meantime. But converting to a better motherboard, a sonic pad, or similar would be ideal. We're seriously about to scrap this thing.

@Shoki’s thread here gives a lot of information on his conversion, and links to other resources: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/30329/closed-loop-stepper-motors-jss57p2n-nema23

@Shoki can you post your current config files, and a brief description of your conversion? Thanks!
