@900turbo have you confirmed which firmware version is running on the 6XD? Look on the Machine Specific tab of DWC to check, or send M115.

Is the paneldue responding and sending commands?

How is the Paneldue connected to the 6XD?

          Has it ever worked?

@Phaedrux The Panel Due Responds and but will not send commands or Hone an axis for example , It is connected by the Ribbon Cable. It Continually displays connecting in the top right corner of the display.

@900turbo Can you show a picture of how you have connected the ribbon cable to the board? The PanelDue connector is very close to the temperature daughterboard connector, and 3.3V and GND are on the same pins, so it is possible to connect it to the TEMP_DB connector and get power. @900turbo Do you have something else configured to use IO_0, eg endstop? The PanelDue connector shares the RX and TX pins with IO_0. If so, you'll need to move whatever is connected there to a different IO header. If that doesn't help, check the continuity of the ribbon cable. You can also try connecting the PanelDue directly to IO_0 to test; see https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Display_PanelDue#option-1-4-way-cable

@droftarts Currently a endstop is in IO_0 , I thought you could use the Ribbon cable with the panel due as the sole connector to the MB , RX and TX being ?
                    Cheers Thank You.

@900turbo Yes, you can use the ribbon cable as the sole connector, and it gives you access to the SD card on the PanelDue. However, the PanelDue header shares io0.in and io0.out for transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) data. From https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Display_PanelDue#notes

On all Duet 3 boards the ribbon cable connector uses the same pins as io0_in and io0.out. Do not connect an endstop switch or anything else to the IO0 connector!

It also says the same thing on the wiring diagram, and in other places on the 6XD, PanelDue and guide pages (eg https://docs.duet3d.com/en/How_to_guides/Wiring_your_Duet_3#h-15-connecting-a-display).

You can alternatively connect the PanelDue to directly to IO_0, and the 4-wire cable allows longer cable runs to the PanelDue compared to the ribbon cable, but then doesn't support access to the SD card.

@droftarts So the ribbon cable is not the issue , just need to move my endstop to a different IO_# then the panel due should function ?

Yes. Don't forget to change config.g to define the new IO pin for your endstop.
