Duet boards used on off-the-shelf machines?
-
Does anyone know of examples of Duet boards used on off-the shelf CNC / 3DP machines?
I am trying to convince my department to purchase Duets, but they want examples of "maturity" from "real" products that use Duet...
Would appreciate any examples...
Thanks!

@DuetWiz1122 we sell to many OEMs but only a few have given us permission to say they are our customers. Among the ones that have, or who are open about using Duet, are Tractus3D and Construct3D in addition to those mentioned already.

Thanks everyone!!

@dc42 would you happen to know how many Duet 3 HCs are sold / manufactured each year?
(this is all in the name of trying to show "maturity" to a suspicious graduate school advisor)

@DuetWiz1122 Rather than ask for sensitive sales information (which you are not likely to get) just point the suspicious person to these forums where the number of users and level of help given and received would be a far better indicator of product maturity.
I could also add that the RepRap movement was started by Adrian Bowyer back in 2004 and his first machines used Duet boards (the 06 IIRC). Since then, the Duet family of boards have progressed through the 085 to Duet WiFi and Ethernet (gen 2 - still current) to the latest gen 3. Each board being an improvement or expansion of the previous one. That progression is a far better indication of product maturity than the sales of one particular board from the current line up. Oh and Duet have a network of resellers covering most of the developed world.

(this is all in the name of trying to show "maturity" to a suspicious graduate school advisor)A million flies can’t be wrong? Following this argument path you’ll end up with a PC box from the Stone Age running WIN98. Not ideal for a 3D printer, but with "proven" commercial success .
Your "suspicious advisor" is well advised to check the requirements of your project: Is it for open hard- and software, for an all-gCodes approach, extensibility, broad support for printer components, a large and dedicated community … - or is it merely to print some benchys? Educate him to make a qualified decision, don't count the flies.
