Printer paused by it self?
-
I just started a print and all of a sudden the printer paused. I was there so I saw the whole thing and even on the PanelDue.
It was printing and then just stopped, beeped and moved to the pause position. On the display it looked just like I would have tapped pause (which I didn't, wasn't even near the display).
What could have caused this?
After I resumed most of the filament didn't stick to the bed, that has never happened on this printer before. Something really strange. I also noticed afterwards the tool heater was marked as "fault".
-
@Reine if the heater was marked as fault then I expect it was a heater fault that triggered the pause.
What version of firmware are you running?
Was there anything else reported in the DWC console?
-
@Reine said in Printer paused by it self?:

If the heater faulted the temp would have dropped.
-
@T3P3Tony I'm on 3.4.6. Nothing else reported and after a restart the same print came out fine also the four prints after that.
-
@Reine If it happens again you need to investigate the heater fault.
-
This just happened again and the heater was at 200c just like it should.
This was in the console though, not sure what it means.
-
Could it be the heater overshooting? It's supposed to be 200c but I notice it overshoots to 210c before dropping.
Could be due to the cooling fan is inactive and I pid tuned with it on..
If so it's strange it started happening now and not before. -
I suggest you retune your heater as a tool so that it can take the cooling fan into account.
