@engikeneer ahh that makes perfect sense, it's 0 now and at layer 25 so the superpinda isn't sensing the bed any more. Thanks

RE: PanelDue 7i in reconnect loop
@droftarts I noticed this issue after upgrading to a CPAP remote fan setup, which when installing I rerouted some wires and like you mentioned the cable to the display ran close to the can wire and also two steppers, but just for a few cm.
As the issue was only happening when printing I took your advice and re-routed the display wire away from both can and stepper wires and guess what, no more connection issues

RE: Is Input Shaper not working or what's causing ringing?
The testing continues. Today I've been using the Voron ringing tower.
In this example I've added a script that changes IS every 5mm in PrusaSlicer. It starts off with none, then goes to zvd 20 and increments by 5 until it reaches 70. Dampening 0.1.
Mesh is off and Pressure Advance is also off.
I've confirmed all settings while printing, even that IS is changing (with M593) and it's all correct. It's printed in vase mode, 225mm/sec & 4k accl, Jerk 2 as those were the best settings I found yesterday.
But as you can see in the video, there's no difference (what I can tell) between no IS, zvd@20 and zvd@70.
Something else must be interfering so it's not even working?
I've even printed one tower with all shapers at the same hz and couldn't tell much of a difference if any at all.
RRF 3.4.6.

RE: Duet versus Bambu
It's a bit like comparing apples and oranges -- I'm tempted to get an X1C or what ever they release next just due to the complete package.
Beside my Duet equipped FDM machine I also have an Formlabs Form3B+ and that thing is so much easier to use, you just import, support and send to print. That's it.
But you can't achieve that unless you control the entire process -- software, hardware and firmware.Duet can for sure improve the user experience with things that frankly should have been there from the start, like homing, filament change etc. macros. But they can't do what Bambu have done simply because they do not sell the printer, just what controls it.

Config for Ender 5+
Hi there,
Has anyone got a baseline setup for an Ender 5+ to share?
I'm coming from Marlin so lots of new stuff to learn, so just looking for a little shortcut if possible
In the online configuration tool I can't see how to setup dual-z axis, do I have to set that up manually?
Thanks

RE: Input shaper causing stutters and blobs on curves RRF3.5.0-rc.1
@Threepwood interesting to read about your issues, I have the exact same problem and I'm also running a light weight gantry VzBot extruder/hotend with a 1LC toolboard and CPAP.
I needed a funnel today, it printed but looked awful from all "shaking".

RE: What's the correct way to update? [SBC]
@chrishamm ahh ok, things happen. Are you saying a simple dist-upgrade should update firmwares on all devices?
From my experience it only downloads the binaries, I have to manually issue M997 to update each device.
If you could write the steps I should take to get everything updated in the correct way I would appreciate it.

@gloomyandy I don't know if this means something else, but it sure looks like 3.4.6-2 too me.

What's the correct way to update? [SBC]
Can someone post the correct way todo a firmware upgrade on a complete system?
I always have to fiddle to get all my components (6HC, SBC, 1LC, Panel Due 7i) updated.
Now with the 3.4.6-2 release I got from doing an
apt update
I haven't managed to get that installed, M122 still reports 3.4.6 with a compile date from July. After the apt update I issue the following commands:
M122
to confirm versions pre updateM997 S0
to update the 6HCM997 S2
for the SBCM997 B121
to finally update the 1LCM122
to confirm that all components are updated
Is this the "correct" way of doing it?

RE: Tool Fan slider control part fan in 3.4.6?
@droftarts just did a print but the fan was not controlled by the slicer, nor from PanelDue 7i, only way to turn in on was through DWC.
Did I miss something in my config?
