      I hope this is allowed. I'M building a ratrig vcore3 with duet3 mini 5 and toolboard. hardware is done with the exception of plate heater. some of the config is working: endstops, bltouch, panel duo, layer fan, all axis motors. but hot end fan and hot end and all the other things like mesh leveling and so on have halted my progress. so im looking for a patient teacher expert for live via facetime to carry me to the finish line and i'm willing to pay a fair price.

          apple users are not known for being able to think for themselves

          Ah, an expert πŸ™„, so tell us: What do Windows users dream of at night? Just thinking … different πŸ˜‡

              @Herve_Smith

              Can i ask you a few questions ?

              It’s boring to explain irony, but here we are: Denying an Apple user the ability to think is simply inappropriate and offending. In doing so, you unnecessarily devalue your offer to assist the OP.

                @infiniteloop @Herve_Smith now then lads, I think thats enough and we'll get back on topic.

                @spfxshane start by posting your complete config.g file and an output of M122 so we can check your firmware versions etc

                Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

                  I would be glad to help you complete your configuration but I am currently traveling and will not return until the end of September.

                  That said I have built and configured, to date, 8 printers using Duet hardware.

                  I did not use the "configuration tool", I coded all the files "by hand" using the Duet documentation.

                  I will generate "quick and dirty" videos of my current set of working printers if you would like to see they actually work.

                  I will not accept payment.

                  Frederick

                  Printers: a small Utilmaker style, a small CoreXY and a E3D MS/TC setup. Various hotends. Using Duet 3 hardware running 3.4.6

                    @Herve_Smith i have been using apple since the bodie blue imac but in the last few years i have had to switch to a windows machine because of cnc and electronics interests. all those years with apple has left me with some bad computing habits and its been a challenge to become better. certainly making the soft side of these things harder than welding up a 1/4 inch gap.

                        These kind of paid consulting come up here once in a while but typically there are no takers. On the other hand, the community here will do everything to help you and some people here are extremely knowledgeable.

                        As for Mac, it's very good choice. Cross platform engineering software is the standard these days and my Apple Silicon Mac runs circles around my Windows desktop when it comes to compilation time or shell usability.
