@jay_s_uk Here is the part if anyone is curious, It is only connected under the part so would be easy to bend over and possibly disconnect from the board that it protrudes from.
Was not happy when the tester came up with a positive line but it did explain why i feel so lousy.

@jay_s_uk Other than the concerns with the USB port I am quite pleased with this boards construction. Will design a case that protects that part. It will replace the A and B stepper drivers on the Duet 3 mini 5+. I'm hoping to have only the 2 can and 2 power leads feeding the whole top end when done.

It can monitor temperature on the stepper motors as well as itself which will be nice. And has plenty of cooling capacity and higher capacity stepper drivers.

The power lead to the RRF-36 is 18 AWG so it should be enough to feed the Stridemax too. Will need to figure out whether to have the CAN leads go into the Stridemax then on to the RRF-36 or vice versa and how to set that all up.

Edit and eventually a MMU will be sitting up there too. Hopefully fed from the same 2 can wires.

@KenW would be easier to wire stridemax to RRF36 rather than the other way round

@jay_s_uk For now then I'll feed from the Stridemax to the RRF-36 since it is easier to terminate. In the future though with the idea of using 2 RRF-36 boards to power the MMU would this work?

Edit, was originally going to use those RRF-36's to power A and B steppers and decided the Stridemax would be even better.

@KenW yes, you can do that. Depending on how long the cables are to each RRF36 you can either run in a star topology if they're under 1m or you can connect one RRF36 to the other to continue the bus. The easiest way to do this is solder the CAN wires to the RRF36 CAN-H and -L. I do this for connecting a Duet SZP to an RRF36

Playing with the thought of putting together a Trad Rack and using a StrideMax "Daul" (since Fysetc don't know how to proof read I swear on saying "Daul" until they do a statement on it 🤣), shouldn't be any issue running a servo motor off out0 or out1 should it? 🤔

@Exerqtor I seem to remember @jay_s_uk saying we could use the Neopixel port for servo out. I'm planning on using 2 RRF-36's to power a Trad Rack since the Stridemax replaced them as A and B drivers.

@Exerqtor yea, the neopixel port would be fine for a servo

@jay_s_uk ok cool, time to source some parts and start writing the macros then ✌️
