Trigger No. to high?

My understanding is that I can setup up to 32 triggers:

So I tried to create trigger 21

M950 J21 C"122.button0"
M581 T21 P21 S1 R0

And got an error:

M581 T21 P21 S1 R0
Error: M581: parameter 'T' too high

Board: Duet 3 Mini 5+ (Mini5plus)
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 3 Mini 5+ 3.5.0-rc.3 (2024-01-24)

@Chriss According to the table here https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/RepRapFirmware/RepRapFirmware_overview#firmware-configuration-limits it is 32 input/outputs, but 16 triggers for Mini 5+. This comes from the firmware, so is correct. I'll update the M581 entry.

It may be possible to increase the trigger limit on Mini 5+; it will most likely be due to memory limits. If you need more, ask @dc42.

@droftarts Cheers Ian, That explained it very well.

I do not need more triggers, it was a "optical" thing only. I used 10 for the first toolboard and (11 button0, 12 button1) and 20 for the 2nd toolboard (21 and 22). All other triggers are free, I will simply give up my naming schema than.

@Chriss I expect the M581 note was written when the 6HC was released, which was the first Duet 3 mainboard, and not updated when the Mini 5+ was released. The devil is in the documentation detail!

As usual... you can not avoid that kind of flaws in a documentation. Anyway, much more easy to identify than the WiFi recent problem.
