Duet 2 wifi - How to wire a Makita controler
-
I found controller for makita routers and I'm hoping to make it work with my duet wifi 2 board. Its been a while so I'm needing to refresh on the config but I have had a hard time figutring this one out. ConnectionDiagram_v4.pdf
Is there a 5v exspansion pin or would I need to use the negative pin from one of the fans?
Not sure if either way would work.
Any help would be appreciated.

@Alijambo73 looks like that board makes the router controllable like a laser, see https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Machine_configuration/Configuration_laser#connecting-laser for documentation on this (duet 2 requires extra circuitry)

@Alijambo73 Yes, you should be able to use the Heater6 PWM or Heater7 PWM outputs on the Duet EBoB (Expansion Breakout Board), and you can use all three wires (+5V, GND, PWM) for the three wires that need to connect to the GRBL_SPD. For configuration, see the Spindles tab of M950 here: https://docs.duet3d.com/User_manual/Reference/Gcodes#configuration-examples-and-notes
Would the 5v+ and ground power the board
Yes
would the pwm signal also trigger the relay?
I think so, that seems to be a feature of the GRBL_SPD board.
