@gsch1803 here are a few things to try:

    • Send M552 from Yat and see what the response is
    • Send M122 from Yat. See what it reports for Interface state in the Ethernet section near the end.
    • Run ping 192.168.2.1 on the PC.

@gsch1803 are you setting a static IP address with M552? Have you tried a different Ethernet cable to the Duet, or checked the one you’re using with another device?

@dc42 Thank you for the response, when I send M552 I get:
        M552
Ethernet is enabled, configured IP address: 192.168.2.1, actual IP address: 192.168.2.1
        ok
I will try sending M122 when I get a chance to work with the board again. When I would attempt pinging the board I wouldn't get any response.

It seems that there is no communication going through the cable whatsoever. I have tried using the cable else where and confirmed that it does function though.

@droftarts Thank you for getting back to me. The static IP is set in the config file and verified via the M552 command. I have tried a couple ethernet cables with no luck and confirmed they work with other devices.

Have you followed this when trying to do a direct Duet to PC connection?

@Phaedrux Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes I followed that guide to get the board setup initially but since these connection issues have started this sort of approach no longer works. Computers won't even recognize a device has been connected when the duet ethernet is plugged in.

When and where did you purchase the Duet?

@Phaedrux I believe it was purchased from Amazon in October

@gsch1803 what colour is the PCB?

Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is
