    Would something like this work for adding an external antenna without desoldering out the entire wifi module and replacing it?

          Unlikely. The impedance of the coax won't match where you solder it to the antenna so you would lose lots of the TX energy before it even entered the coax

            That wont work unless you get extremely lucky for the reasons that @TickTock already mentioned. We have tested the Duet with the ESP07 which has an external antenna port. That is the way I recommend going if you need an external antenna.

                Alright thanks all, I already ordered the module since it was only ~$4. I still didn't decide if I should do it or not, as it looks a bit risky.
