    I would like to know:

    • Typical max speed
    • Running interpolated or not?

Titan with 1,7A 40Ncm motor on 1/16 stepping

It was only 1500mm/min as is 25mm/s and that sounds very slow for retraction?

Also could use something for accel and jerk. Just something in the neighborhood to compare as my extrusion is terrible

I am now reviewing my Marlin settings and I see I am somewhat off in accel and jerk
        Here are my previous settings:

Speed was same I see but seems slow to me?

        Max Speed: 1500 mm/min
        Retract Accel: 3000 mms/s^2
        E Jerk: 300 mm/Min

          Bowden or direct?

Here's what I use on a Titan Aero with E3D compact motor. Might give you an idea of starting values.

          M350 E16 I1 ; Configure microstepping with interpolation
M92 E837 ; Set steps per mm provided by E3D for 0.9 motor
M906 E1700 ; Set motor current to max rated
M913 E85 ; reduce motor current to 85% of rated
          M201 E8000 ; set max accel (mm/s^2)
          M203 E20000 ; Set max speed (mm/min)
          M566 E1600 ; max jerk (mm/min)
          M207 S0.8 R0 F8000 T1500 Z0.0 ; retraction settings
          M572 D0 S0.05 ; pressure advance

I think everything had gone much smoother if the config tool did not exist - or I just did not use it... Then I would have done what I did in Marlin and learning to configure all the necessary lines from the beginning rather than backtracking big time

Ups... I answered in the wrong thread

That's how us early adopters of Duet have always done it. I guess the configurator is a mixed blessing in that respect but many new comers to 3D printing find it useful.

I feel for the Duet developers though - damned if they do, damned if they don't. Damned if they don't have as many features as other boards, damned if they have more features by those who say it's too complicated to set up.

I gave up on Marlin. The enormous configuration h file and all the others was just too much. I used repetier which had an online configurator. Then jumped to RRF. So I totally get where you're coming from.

Might be a long time since you looked at a config_h file. It is like 10 lines needed to change or activate and it is so clearly explained my Mum would understand. You might need 5 lines in config_adv_h also if you are... advanced --- The RRF IS a Nerdsnest and information is all over the place and nothing seems stock.. but yeah we agree to disagree

                    Bowden here

Well this might have solved some of my extrusion issues as it seems like the Titan was prohibited from extruding enough plastic with the settings I had going

I still have some issues with top layer flow when printing one object but if I do two objects they are better... Strange stuff
