So here's my hoping this is not premature (doubt it! 🙂 ), but I just wanted to say thank you to both creators of the Duet Wifi and PanelDue and this amazing community.

So far, I'm absolutely amazed with the product and I am totally loving what it did to my Ender 3 (along with the help I got here when I was getting my config messed up).

I still have a long way to go ahead of me (dual z screws, figure out the blower fan noise that wasn't there on Ender and building a Hypercube Evolution with this setup), but I am still very happy.

Thank you and keep rocking like you already do 🙂

        I'm glad you're loving it!

Maybe the blower fan noise was there all the time, but until you upgraded to the Duet you couldn't hear it above the motor noise? Lots of users suddenly become aware of fan noise after the upgrade!

You might also try a different PWM frequency on the blower fan, if it is on a PWM channel.

It was there on the Ender until I started bliping the fan via firmware change and settings in Simplify3D.

It might be that the fan is broken, but I doubt that.

This is one of the things to be investigated along with the aforementioned dual z axis screws and trying to speed up the printer (with default settings it's about half as fast as the Ender 3 was on Marlin, but I know where to look for that or so I think 🙂

PWM frequency is also one of the things to look at, but that has me curious. I tried googling a PWM 24V fan on two wires and didn't see much for a 40x40 and a 5015 blower fans.

@pkos the fan itself doesn't need to be a true PWM fan with 4 wires. The duet switches the fan and handles the PWM itself. So it works with any 2 wire fan, though some fans handle it better than others. Sometimes they have too high a stand still start speed and you need to blip it, or sometimes they just don't handle low speed very well at all, but I think it's harder to find a fan that doesn't work well with PWM on the duet than it is to find a fan that works fine.

@pkos Hi. I have been searching the internet and this forum for any info to lead me in the right direction to upgrade my Ender 3 to the duet wifi and PanelDue screen, but to no avail. How did you know what needed to be done to install this in an Ender 3? Please help.

You could take a look at https://youtu.be/RmZ7aJYvWLc.

The Ender 3 uses 24V power and low current motors, so the Duet Maestro should also work well with it.

@phaedrux Thanks. Seems odd that is the only info to be found.

There was a forum user that made a YouTube video series on covering the Ender 3 that was quite in depth. The YouTube channel is Design Prototype Test.
