Wiring Duex

Use the two-input ferrules we supply to connect two wires to one terminal: a long wire from the PSU, and a short wire to join the VIN terminals of the Duet and DueX.
For the +ve connections, you can run separate wires from the PSU to the Duet and DueX if you prefer. But the negative wire between the Duet and DueX VIN terminals must be very short.

Ah got it! Two more quick questions:

I've been using 14awg wire for the PSU to the Duet. Do you suggest going thinner? I'm using a 24v PSU.

Which board should get the two wires? The Duet or the Duex? Or does it not matter?

Work out the maximum current and choose suitably-rated wire.

The Duet normally takes more current because of the bed heater, so the wire from the PSU should go to the Duet first. 14awg is good if the ferrules can accommodate two of them.

So the Duex didn't come with any additional twin ferrules, just single wire ones. The Duet Wifi came with two of them, but I already used them when I originally set up the duet. I tried taking them off and seeing if I could salvage them, but it's not going to work.
I ordered a ferrule kit the other day and it should be here today or tomorrow. It's only single wire ferrules though. So I have two questions.
A) Could I use a single wire ferrule and then attach a piggy back connector and have two wires going into it?
or
B) Could I use a larger gauge ferrule, say 10 or 12, and then a little electrical tape and heat shrink tubing?

A. Yes if you can find a suitable piggy back connector.
B. I'm not sure whether 10 or 12AWG ferrules will fit in the terminal block. I think 2.5mm^2 ferrules should fit but maybe not 4mm^2.

So, from what I gather, the negative terminals of the Duex and Duet2 boards are connected together with a very short (black) wire. The positive terminals could also be wired (red) the same way but could also each go back to the power supply.
The Duet2 board will have two wires (black) coming out of the negative terminal, one going to the Duex and one going to the power supply. Depending on your personal choice, the positive terminal could also have two wires (red) coming out, one to the power supply, and one to the Duex.I have read the documentation a few times and still get confused when I read it again for confirmation.
Is there a wiring diagram (picture) out there of how to properly wire the power of a Duet2 and Duex5 together?Thanks!

Thanks for the confirmation and updating the documentation. I am hoping to have a new duet case printed this weekend to hold both boards.
I already printed one in PETG but could hear static sparks as I pulled it off the glass. Now worried it would kill the boards. I will be printing new ones in PLA....
I just want to power it up and start playing!Thanks again!
