On firmware startup and after reset, the Fan PWM and Extruder heaters pulse and flicker many times. When using these to control other peripherals (e.g. lights, SSR) they peripherals all strobe 3-10 times at startup or upon reset. Is there any way to disable this pulsing of the FAN PWM and Extuder heater outputs? Thanks.

@b3d Do you by any chance use a Duex expansion board? If so, this behaviour seems to be fixed in the latest firmware https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/2.02RC4

Yes, DuetWifi + Duex5. Upgraded today to:
          Firmware Version: 2.02RC4(RTOS) (2018-11-18b5)
          WiFi Server Version: 1.21
          Web Interface Version: 1.22.5

Pulsing is better, but there is still one big pulse upon firmware Reset on the Fan/PWM and Extruder Heater outputs on the Duet5, that are tripping the SSRs connected those modules.

@b3d Yes, I get this too. I don't have anything other than heaters connected to heater outputs but my hot end fan does a "double blip" on start up or reset - like it boots, then instantly boots again. It's not a big deal for me though.

Have you tried 2.02RC4? You should find it is now a single blip.

When you say a big pulse, how long does it last? I see one pulse at startup, but it is very short.

EDIT: I've found the reason for the heaters blipping at startup. It will be fixed in 2.02RC5. Fan 1 output is intentionally on at startup until turned off in config.g because we intend it to be used for the hot end heatsink fan. Fans 0 and 2 should stay off.

Yes - and I mentioned the double blip thing is still present in that RC4 thread as well. It's not a big deal though.
